11th Group Completed V Module of the Program

7-9 March 2020. The 11th group of Season III of the “Tomorrow’s Lawyer” Program continued their soft skills development within fifth module of the Program, dedicated to Legal Writing.

The training on Legal Writing was developed by the Program team and organized for the first time for the participants of the third season of the Program.

In particular, the module addressed the following issues:

  • Legal analysis and writing based on the structure of the norm.
  • Forms of legal analytical text drafting.
  • Counterparts, facts.
  • Speech writing skills.

The trainer of the Module was Mykhailo Koltsov, candidate of philosophical sciences, Senior Lecturer, Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies, National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. His research interests include policy analysis, data visualization, and information security.

During the training, the participants were supervised by Dmytro Kukhnyuk, expert of the Program, Managing Partner of Melnyk, Kukhnyuk and Partners, candidate of judicial sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Notary and Enforcement Process, and the Bar of the Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University.

The “Tomorrow’s Lawyer” Program was launched in 2016 and first implemented within the “Quality and Accessible Legal Aid” Project, carried out by the Canadian Bureau for International Education with the support of the Government of Canada in cooperation with the Legal Aid Coordination Centre. It is currently being implemented and developed with the support of the US Embassy’s Law Enforcement Section in Ukraine, the “Tomorrow’s Lawyer” NGO, in partnership with the Ukrainian Bar Association and the Bar Association of Legal Aid Providers.
