Andrii Kostin Elected Head of the Legal Policy Committee
On January 14, 2020, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine elected Andrii Kostin Head of the Committee on Legal Policy. The Draft Resolution on Amendments to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Resolution “On Election of the Heads, First Deputies, Secretaries, and Members of the Committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the Ninth Convocation” gained 296 votes.
During 2017 – 2019, Andrii Kostin was an expert on the “Tomorrow’s Lawyer” Program. Also in recent years, Andrii was Deputy Chairman of the Bar Council of Odessa region.

In your new position, on behalf of the Program community, we wish you to have continuous support of the lawyers of Ukraine and take a worthy path in your work. The “Tomorrow’s Lawyer” Program was launched in 2016 and first implemented within the “Quality and Accessible Legal Aid” Project, carried out by the Canadian Bureau for International Education with the support of the Government of Canada in cooperation with the Legal Aid Coordination Centre. It is currently being implemented and developed with the support of the US Embassy’s Law Enforcement Section in Ukraine, the “Tomorrow’s Lawyer” NGO, in partnership with the Ukrainian Bar Association and the Bar Association of Legal Aid Providers.
