Meet Trainers of Module IV the of Tomorrow’s Lawyer Program!
We are glad to present the trainers of Module IV of the third season of the “Tomorrow’s Lawyer” Program. The module focuses on training the lawyer’s communications skills with the public and the media, as well as advocating for change.
We welcome to the Tomorrow’s Lawyer community:
Stanislav Yasinsky, a Ukrainian journalist and documentary filmmaker. 21 years of television experience. He worked as a correspondent for the TV station “Viha” (Chernivtsi), a journalist for STB and 1+1 channels, editor-in-chief of “Morning with Inter”, and editor of TSN. He is a special correspondent of TSN-Week with Alla Mazur, where he specializes in litigation issues. He worked in the war zone.
Stanislav is a Permanent Lecturer in the Graduate School of Media & Production of the 1+1 Media Group, where he holds courses in authorial journalism and investigative journalism;
Maksym Sukhenko, Ukrainian journalist, TV presenter, producer of television films and programs. Experience in television – more than 20 years. Worked as a reporter for “Visti” (TET), “Vikna” (STB), “UTN” (UT-1), “TSN” (1+1) TV programs, observer of “Vikna-Midnight” projects, “Visti with Mykola Kanishevsky”, “TSN Week”.
One of the authors of the 1+1 “Groshi” program, co-editor of “Secret Materials” and editor-in-chief of the Journalistic Investigations Department of 1+1 Media Holding.
Maksym is a full-time lecturer at the Graduate School of Media & Production of the “1+1 Media” group and an associate professor of the Department of Cinema and Television of the Taras Shevchenko Institute of Journalism.
Oleksandr Zaslavskyi, Director of the Analytical Division of the Legislative Initiatives Laboratory, OSCE/ODIHR expert, public policy analyst. Has 12 years of experience in the public sector. Author of analytical papers in the field of parliamentarism, public administration and public participation.
The trainers, experts and Program team have been working for several months on the new structure and meaningful content of Module IV, taking into account the assessment and improvement suggestions provided by graduates of the “Tomorrow’s Lawyer” Program in 2017 and 2018.
The Module covers the following topics:
- Ethics and practical aspects of communication with the media;
- Verbal and written communication with various media.
- Development of communication strategies;
- Planning and conducting advocacy campaigns.

“Tomorrow’s Lawyer” is a powerful network of lawyers uniting opinion leaders in the legal profession, who provide legal assistance in accordance with the highest ethical standards, act as agents of change in society and leaders in the professional community.
The “Tomorrow’s Lawyer” Program was launched in 2016 and first implemented within the “Quality and Accessible Legal Aid” Project, carried out by the Canadian Bureau for International Education with the support of the Government of Canada in cooperation with the Legal Aid Coordination Centre. It is currently being implemented and developed with the support of the US Embassy’s Law Enforcement Section in Ukraine, the “Tomorrow’s Lawyer” NGO, in partnership with the Ukrainian Bar Association and the Bar Association of Legal Aid Providers.
