Program Graduates Became Co-Authors of the Draft Law on Advocate’s Letter of Inquiry
They suggest deputies to strengthen the responsibility of officials for failing to provide information on lawyers’ letters of inquiry.
Graduates of the “Tomorrow’s Lawyer” Program, Deputy Chair of the Committee for the Protection of Advocates’ Rights of the Bar Council in Odesa Region Vadym Semenov and Deputy Chair of the Bar Council of Odesa Region Oleksandr Kozlov prepared the relevant draft law No 3327 (Draft Law on Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine on an administrative offense for violation of the right to information”). The draft proposes to amend the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses, the Law of Ukraine “On the Bar and Practice of Law” and other acts.
According to the website of the parliament, the draft law was filed by Andriy Kostin, an expert of the Program and now a Member of Parliament and Chair of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Legal Policy.
