Tomorrow’s Lawyer Program Presented at the UBA Conference on Criminal Law and Process
On 11 November 2016 the Tomorrow’s Lawyer Program was presented at the III UBA Conference on Criminal Law and Process by its leader Andriy Vyshnevskiy.
“Today, given the rapid social development, to be a successful lawyer one should not only efficiently provide legal services to their clients, they should also have their professional position on the ongoing reforms in the legal sphere and the sphere of justice, to be able to formulate it and convey both within the various working bodies and to the general public. In addition, today’s lawyers require leadership skills as the Bar is an independent human rights institution that needs new leadership and effective government“- said Andrew Vyshnevskiy.
The program is open for advocates from all over Ukraine, who possess legal practice experience for more than two years, active in social life, participate in the justice reform, improvement of the quality of legal aid in Ukraine and ready to contribute to the further improvement of the legal system.
The program is free of charge. Applications should be submitted by 9 December 2016.
The Program consists of four training modules:
- Your Client;
- Building Collegial Relations Within the Justice System;
- Communication Within the Professional Legal Community;
- Public Relations and Media
Training Schedule:
- Start of training – February 2017
- Four three –day sessions during 2017
- Training will be carried out in four Ukrainian cities – Kyiv, Lviv, Odesa and Kharkiv
