Tomorrow’s Lawyers Among the “New Leaders”
Four graduates of the “Tomorrow’s Lawyer” Program participate in the “New Leaders” Project. Valeriya Kolomiets, Andriy Osipov, Mykola Kasyan and Maryna Starovojtova will try their hand at the national TV project.
In order to get onboard with the “New Leaders”, the participants presented their program goals – projects designed to solve certain problems in society.
Valeriya Kolomiets offers a mechanism for the implementation of the rule of law and a fair trial in Ukraine. “Participation in the project is a good way to share your ideas and best practices with a wide range of people, to find partners and like-minded people”, says the participant.
Andriy Osipov plans to introduce a full system of jury trials in Ukraine in order to improve the mechanism of checks and balances, transferring monopoly on justice to society, increasing the interest in the court and the essence of the legal proceedings, elaboration of law enforcement activities.
Mykola Kasyan considers the implementation of the “School of Law” the key project for himself, which will teach children and adolescents the understanding of the law and will form their legal awareness. “The program’s goal of the project is to educate respect for the law as a social value, to build sustainable skills in the application of law in everyday life”, Mykola said.
Maryna Starovojtova came to the project with the idea of introducing integrated ethical standards for lawyers for the formation of common perception and awareness. “The prerequisite for introducing new qualitative changes is restoring trust in lawyers. I believe that society’s trust in lawyers will be very high”, Maryna shared her hopes for the future.
We wish to extend lawyers our congratulations on such an important new initiative and wish success in the implementation of their projects. The project starts later in autumn on the ICTV channel.
