Tomorrow’s Lawyers to Provide Free Legal Aid
A considerable number of participants of the first hundred of “Tomorrow’s Lawyer” Program came from the Free Legal Aid System (“FLA”). And we are pleased to announce that upon completion of the next selection round of lawyers providing free secondary legal aid in Kyiv and 23 oblasts of Ukraine, which took place from November 18, 2017 to January 23, 2018, another 12 participants of the Program were admitted to the provision of free legal aid!
It is important that by providing legal aid free of charge, participants in the first and second hundreds of the “Tomorrow’s Lawyer” Program will be able to actively apply the skills and knowledge gained during the training. Thus, among the topics of the Program modules there are communication with the client, opponents, court and colleagues; communication with the media and the public; negotiations, mentoring. The cross-cutting themes of all modules are legal ethics and leadership that are vital in providing free legal aid.
