Vira Mykhailenko Increases Legal Awareness of Medical Workers
Vira Mikhailenko, a graduate of the first hundred of the “Tomorrow’s Lawyer” Program, at the invitation of the Agency for Medical Marketing and a leading pharmaceutical company, is organizing a series of events to increase the legal awareness of doctors and other healthcare professionals.
Within the framework of the project “Legal Protection of the Doctor” the lawyer conducts 20 trainings on the topic “Legal aspects of medical activities” in almost all regions of the country.
During the training, representatives of the medical industry receive a general perception of the “state of legal play” between the physician and the patient, the types of liability provided by the current legislation for various violations in the field of medical practice. This training is in high demand, and more than 1000 participants have already attended the course.

The “Tomorrow’s Lawyer” Program was developed during 2016-2017 with the support of the project “Quality and Accessible Legal Aid in Ukraine” with an expert contribution from the Canadian Bar Association. The “Tomorrow’s Lawyer” Program is being implemented by the Ukrainian Bar Association and the Bar Association of Legal Aid Providers, with the support of the United States Embassy and The Quality and Accessible Legal Aid in Ukraine (QALA) Project funded by the Government of Canada and implemented by the Canadian Bureau for International Education (CBIE).
