Expert Discussion in Odessa within the “Tomorrow’s Lawyer” Community

On September 15, 2018 in Odessa, graduates and participants of the “Tomorrow’s Lawyer” Program, in cooperation with the Bar Council of the Odesa region, held a seminar on “Practice and Methodology of Evidencing in the Context of Article 130 of the Code of Administrative Proceedings of Ukraine” and an expert discussion on the protection of the rights of lawyers.

Andriy Kostin, Deputy Chairman of the Bar Council of the Odessa region addressed the audience with welcoming remarks. Speakers at the event were graduates of the “Tomorrow’s Lawyer” Program, Artem Donets and Alla Shyrant. Oleksandr Kozlov, a participant of the “Tomorrow’s Lawyer” Program, Chairman of the Committee for the Protection of Professional Rights of Lawyers and the implementation of guarantees of advocacy of the Bar Council of the Odesa region, also joined the discussion.

During 2017, the Bar Council of Advocates of the Odesa region has received 14 appeals from lawyers for violating their professional rights. As the result of considering six appeals, the Bar Council of the Odessa region sent communications to the law enforcement agencies notifying of a criminal offense.
