Participants of the Program Shared their Knowledge with the Colleagues from the Region
Participants of the “Tomorrow’s Lawyer” Program from Kropyvnitsky conducted a short training for colleagues from the Free Legal Aid on the use of the materials of the first Module of the Program.
According to the participants of the “Tomorrow’s Lawyer” Program, Ms Oksana Syora and Mr Denys Linchevsky, within the framework of the first Module, they’ve received valuable knowledge and useful materials for establishing better communication in working with clients while providing professional legal assistance.
By combining their efforts and considering themselves the agents of change, participants of in groups 2 and 4 shared their knowledge and materials with 18 colleagues who wished to improve their skills and gain new knowledge. It is important to note that Denys and Oksana during the training met all the rules that are mandatory for the distribution of materials: namely, links to the “Tomorrow’s Lawyer” Program and the Quality and Accessible Legal Aid in Ukraine” (QALA) Project with the logo of the Program thereon, as well as other requirements.
The training was conducted at the Regional Center for the Provision of Secondary Legal Aid. According to the Program participants, they talked about the skills to manage expectations and establish a two-way communication with the client, described how to effectively conduct interviewing and client counseling, as well as explaining what to do more thoroughly, especially in the early stages of client meetings; drew colleagues’ attention to the particularities of the work of lawyers with different categories of vulnerable clients and touched upon the topic of burnout, emotional intelligence and emotional control.
The “Tomorrow’s Lawyer” Program welcomes the initiative of the participants! We are extremely pleased that the knowledge gained during the Program has become useful and accessible to lawyers in the region.
